APPLYING FOR STUDENT VISA IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

The information mention below is to help Students and Parents to clearly understand the procedures about applying for Study Permit visa for USA. Please read the information mention below properly to understand clearly. 

 

STEP 1: Counselling

There are lots of things you need to understand before you start processing your application for USA. Maple International Education highly recommend interested students looking for higher study in USA to consult with our expert Counsellors in detail in order to understand all about requirements, processing system, visa possibilities, universities and colleges right for you, tuition fee affordability, documentation etc. Counseling can be done by visiting Maple Office or by calling at Maple Office.

 

STEP 2: Collect Documents for Admission

In order to apply at your preferred University or College, Maple International Education would request you to provide documents like Academic credentials, English Language Proficiency Certificate (TOEFL, IELTS), Recommendation Letters, Bank Statement, Personal Statement, Resume etc.

 

STEP 3: Pay the Application Fee

Almost all Universities and Colleges in USA required Non-refundable Application Fee to process application for Admission. Payment can be done through Online, Bank draft or Maple International Education can help you to pay your fee. Your application will not be processed if you do not pay application fee along with your documents.

 

STEP 4: Apply for Admission

It is necessary to apply in US institutions before application deadline. We recommend International students to apply at least 6 months before for admission in US institutions to secure admission at preferred institution. You can apply Online or Paper application for admission. Maple International Education will help you with admission processing.

 

STEP 5: Wait for Admission Decision

Normally it takes 2-6 weeks to make assessment of your application for US institutions. Wait until you do not get admission confirmation from your preferred University or College. If you are accepted at your preferred course University/College will send you I-20 letter.

 

STEP 6: Pay the I-20 Courier Fee

Some of the institutions in USA ask you to pay Courier fee to send you I-20 letter. Please consult at our office in detail about this.

 

STEP 7: Pay the Deposit Fee

Some of the institutions in USA ask you to pay Deposit Fee in order to Issue I-20 Letter for you. Deposit fee may varies from Institution to institution. Consult at our office for details.

 

STEP 8: Gather Required Visa Documentation

In order to apply for Visa, you need to prepare/collect documents. Documentation could be different from person to person. Generally, you need Valid Passport, Academic documents, Standardized test scores, financial support documents, Income source proof documents, Relationship verification, Police report, Personal Statement etc. Maple International Education will guide you how to prepare documents and what documents are required for you to apply for Visa.

 

STEP 9: Schedule an Interview

In order to apply for visa you need to book an appointment for visa interview. This can be done through online. You need to Pay VISA FEE to book an appointment at your nearest embassy.

 

STEP 10: Pay SEVIS Fee

International Students need to pay SEVIS Fee before you go for Visa interview. This fee can be paid online or through banks. Please consult at our office for details.

 

STEP 11: Prepare for Visa Interview

It is very important that you prepare for interview. Visa approval depends on your interview. Therefore, to be well-prepared for interview is very important. What could be the probable questions that visa officers could ask you! What could be the best answer to give! Don’t worry, Maple International Education will help you to prepare for Visa interview. So relax.

 

STEP 12: Go for Visa Interview

Relax your mind and body. Please reach at your nearest embassy before one hour of your schedule time and day.

 

STEP 13: Tuition Fee Deposit

We recommend students to deposit/pay One year tuition fee before you fly for US.

 

STEP 14: Book your Flight Ticket

After your visa is approved, on its time to confirm your flight ticket. Please note that you cannot fly US before one month of class start date. We recommend Students to fly just one week before class start date.

 

STEP 15: Confirm your Accommodation

Before you fly to US please arrange your accommodation. Normally, there are Three types of Accommodation availbale in US for international students. They are On-Campus Dormitories, Off-Campus Apartments and Homestays. Please consult at our office for deatils information and assistance.

 

STEP 16:  Shopping & Packing

We advice students to think about the baggage/luggage you can carry with you before you do shopping. Think about baggage size and weight ! Contact your Airlines to know about this matter and make your luggage ready accordingly. 

 

STEP 17: Arrange Travel Check/Cash

You will require money for living and personal expenses during your stay in US. We advice students to carry at least $2000 with them when coming to US.

 

STEP 18: Pre-departure briefing

There are several things you need to understand as an International students before you depart from home country to US. Maple International Education conduct pre-departure information session to students who have successfully obtain visa to study in US. Please contact our office for details.

 

STEP 19: Entering the United States

A visa allows a foreign citizen to travel to a U.S. port-of-entry (generally an airport) and request permission to enter the United States. A visa does not guarantee entry into the United States. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officials at the port-of-entry have authority to permit or deny admission to the United States. If you are allowed to enter the United States, the CBP official will provide an admission stamp or paper Form I-94, Arrival/Departure Record.
