TROY UNIVERSITY, Alabama

International Education Scholarships

Requirements: GPA 2.0 or 70%. Scholarships Award $5,500 (based on 24 Credit hours in the first academic year). In order to keep this scholarship, you must be enrolled full-time in academic courses (minimum 12 hours) each semester and maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5 out of 4.0. This Scholarship is for the UNDERGRADUATE enrollment ONLY.

 

International Elite Scholarships

Troy University offers a substantial number of full and partial Elite scholarships to international students with exceptionally high academic achievements. These scholarships are only available to first year undergraduate (freshman) students entering Troy University with the intent to obtain at least a four year bachelor’s degree. Students must fulfill all regular undergraduate requirements as well as one of the two Elite requirements listed below:

The Millennium Scholar's Award (full-ride scholarship: tuition, room and board): Requirements are 32 ACT (composite score) or 1420* SAT 1 and strong high school Grade Point Average (GPA) equal to an American 3.7 GPA (4.0 scale).

The Chancellor's Award (full tuition): Requirements are 28 ACT (composite score) or 1260* SAT 1 and strong high school Grade Point Average (GPA) equal to an American 3.5 GPA (4.0 scale).

Both scholarships may be renewed every year (for a maximum of four years) that the student attends Troy University and completes the following requirements: Students must maintain full-time status and accumulate a minimum GPA of 3.3 (The Millennium Scholar’s) or 3.0 (The Chancellor’s Award).

 

Graduate Assistantships & Fellowships

Graduate Assistantships (GA) are available throughout various departments. The assistantship provides a scholarship for 6 credit hours per semester and waives the out-of-state tuition. A stipend for $7,000 per year is granted. Students should review Troy University’s Human Resources web-site for GA listings and/or contact various departments of interest for details.

 

GREENVILLE COLLEGE, Illinois

University Pathways Merit Scholarship: $10,000

A $10,000 per year ($5,000/semester) scholarship will be awarded to international students who complete the University Pathways program with at least an average of 85% average or above and have shown involvement in co-curricular activities during the program. To maintain this scholarship, students must continue to meet expectations for activity involvement and must maintain at least a 3.0 GPA in the undergraduate program. If a student fails to maintain a 3.0 GPA, the scholarship will be reduced to the $4,000 Completion scholarship as long as they continue to participate in campus events and activities.

 

Direct Admit Scholarship: $10,000

A $10,000 per year ($5,000/semester) scholarship will be awarded to international students who are directly admitted to the undergraduate program (without ACT or SAT) and who have at least a 79 TOEFL score or at least a 6.5 IELTS score.  To maintain this, they must meet expectations for activity involvement and must maintain at least a 3.0 GPA in the undergraduate program. If a student fails to maintain a 3.0 GPA, the scholarship will be reduced to the $4,000 Completion scholarship as long as they continue to participate in campus events and activities.

 

Academic scholarships

McAllaster Honors Scholarship: $16,000 per year  – Available to First-time freshman with a cumulative GPA of 3.5/4.0 and a minimum score of 27 on the ACT or 1210 (math+critical reading) on the SAT may apply. The McAllaster Honors program is limited to 30 students.

Trustee’s Scholarship: $14,000 per year – Available to First-time freshmen with a cumulative GPA and ACT score in the following ranges: 4.0 GPA and 28 ACT or 3.5 GPA and 33 ACT.

President’s Scholarship: $13,000 per year – Available to First-time freshmen with a cumulative GPA and ACT score in the following ranges: 4.0 GPA and 28 ACT or 3.5 GPA and 33 ACT.

Dean’s Scholarship: $12,000 per year – Available to First-time freshmen students with a cumulative GPA and ACT scores in the following ranges: 4.0 GPA and 21 ACT or 3.5 GPA and 23 ACT or 3.0 GPA and 26 ACT.

Recognition Award: $6,000 per year – Available to First-time freshmen students with a cumulative GPA and ACT scores in the following ranges: 3.0 GPA and 19 ACT or 2.5 GPA and 24 ACT and who do not qualify for a Greenville College Merit Scholarship.

Transfer Scholar Award: $10,000 per year – Available to Transfer students with a cumulative college GPA of 3.5 to 4.0/4.0

Transfer Honor Scholarship: $9,500 per year – Available to Transfer students with a cumulative college GPA of 3.0 to 3.48/4.0

Transfer Achievement Scholarship: $4,000 per year – Available to Transfer students with a cumulative college GPA of 2.5 to 2.99/4.0

 

NORWICH UNIVERSITY, Vermont

Academic Scholarships: The scholarships are awarded in these GPA ranges:

3.5 to 4.0 GPA = $24,000

3.0 to 3.49 GPA = $23,000

2.7 to 2.99 GPA = $22,000

International students may apply for additional grants as well at Norwich.

 

DRURY UNIVERSITY

NORTHERN ARIZONA UNIVERSITY, FLAGSTAFF

New International Student Presidential Scholarship

The New International Student Presidential Scholarship is a merit-based tuition waiver for new F-1 undergraduate, degree-seeking international students admitted directly into a university bachelor’s degree program.

All new F-1 undergraduate, degree-seeking international students applying to the Flagstaff campus will be considered.  There are a limited number of these scholarships and priority will be given to applicants that apply by the recommended deadlines of March 1 for fall semester and October 1 for spring semester.  In addition, students with at least 3.0 GPA or equivalent will be given priority consideration for this award.  Students entering under an agreement are excluded from consideration.

The award is for $10,000 for the first academic year only; $5,000 for the first fall and $5,000 for the first spring semester of enrollment and is applicable to tuition only.

Priority consideration is given to applicants that apply by March 1 for fall semester and October 1 for spring semester.  All applicants are automatically considered.

 

JACKSONVILLE STATE UNIVERSITY, Alabama

Academic Scholarships

Out-of-State JSU scholarship recipients:  If you qualify and accept a JSU scholarship, you will be automatically eligible for the in-state tuition rate. 

The JSU Presidential Scholarship: The scholarship will pay 12 in-state traditional classroom tuition hours for the Fall and for the Spring Semesters and is renewable for 1 additional year, total of 48 semester hours.

Scholarships are based on Academic Percent, Toefl/Ielts score and SAT/ACT score.

Awarding of these academic scholarships is contingent upon submission of the on line application, receipt of official ACT/SAT test scores, completion of an admission application and unconditional acceptance.

Students must complete a scholarship application to be considered for those scholarships listed on the University Scholarship listing.

 

UNIVERSITY OF NEW HEAVEN, Connecticut

Scholarships for International Students Seeking a Bachelor's Degree:

The University of New Haven offers 3 generous merit based scholarships for academically qualified international undergraduate students who wish to pursue their Bachelor degrees at UNH:

1) Presidential Scholarship ($16,000 -$20,000 annually):

A student who has achieved academic success in high school and on the SAT or ACT is considered for this scholarship. 

Minimum Requirements:

  • An overall high school average of “B” or better or a GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale at the time of application  and
  • A combined minimum SAT critical reading and math score of 1200 or a composite score of 26 on the ACT.
  • Applicants with a minimum GPA of 3.7 out of 4.0 and a combined minimum SAT critical reading and math score of 1300 will be considered for a scholarship above $16000 per year. 

The Presidential Scholarship is renewable for 4 years, provided a student completes a minimum of 24 credit hours each year, and maintains a minimum 3.0 GPA at UNH.  

2) Distinguished Scholar Awards ($12,000 – $14,000 annually):

Students who have achieved academic success in high school but have not achieved the SAT or ACT requirements for the Freshman Presidential Scholarship are eligible for this award.

Minimum Requirements

  • An overall high school average of “B” or better or a GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale at the time of application  and
  • A combined minimum SAT critical reading and math score of 1050 or a composite score of 23 on the ACT.

The Distinguished Scholar Award is renewable for 4 years, provided a student completes a minimum of 24 credit hours each year, and maintains a minimum 3.0 GPA at UNH.

 3) International Student Awards and Charger Awards ($6,000-$10,000 annually):

Minimum Requirements:

  • An overall "C+" or better high school average or a GPA of 2.7 out of 4.0 at the time of application and
  • A minimum IBT TOEFL score of 80 or a minimum IELTS score of 6.5.

Recipients of this scholarship may be awarded up to $10,000 annually, provided they maintain a 3.0 GPA and complete a minimum of 24 credit hours each year at UNH.

Undergraduate Scholarship Application Deadlines:

  • For the Fall semester of each year, the deadline is June 1st.
  • For the Spring semester of each year, the deadline is November 1st.
